Cease work By Employees only Delaying salary process further – KD

Haflong, September 19(Haflong News Sept 20): Today in a press meet held by NCHAC ,CEM in charge Kulendra Daulagupu termed the ongoing agitation  by the NCHAC Normal Sector employees  and expressed that the current cease work NCHAC Employees’ union  is unfortunate.

The Council  categorically state that the pending salary of the Council employees will be paid as soon as the grants in aid from the state government is released, other issues like  increase of DA is all ready been discussed and will be declared when the all formalities are finalized and said that works are on progress to find ways to pay the salaries regularly. As the issues are not the issue of employees alone but it is related to the whole council, therefore  working atmosphere and environment of the council should not be spoiled, while the executive committee of council is making all efforts to solve the problem step by step. 
It also mentions that the salary issue is not new it has been there since several years and arises due to appointments without considering the capacity of council. However in the past power to divert development funds used to be invoked to pay pending salary from time to time and let it not forgotten for the future that the said power to divert funds were curtailed after the arrest of Mohet Hojai ,the then CEM of NCHAC in the year 2009.If the agitation by the employees union is continued  the entire process will be  delayed  leading to payment of salary to employees before the durga puja festival, the employees union solely responsible for such delays. It also said that the present council is not blame game rather it has been taken the challenge and almost come to the final solution while the employees have restored agitation.The press meet was also attended by  Mahendra Kemprai,EM for Industry,Denis Teron EM  and Flaming Rupsi,EM.
The Council employees have resolved to continue their  agitation for an indefinite cease of work from 10th September demanding revocation of  transfer order of president of the NCHAC employees union and payment of 9 (Nine) month pending salary with enhancement of DA from 35% to 100% immediately. The union decided to allow the officers for any work related to payment of pending salary or other demands of the union and to form a committee for talks with council authorities as required to solve the grievances of employees.The employees appealed all the people to understand and to   come forward to solve the their grievances’ while regretted for the inconveniences due to agitation
