September 19,2014 : A
special Promotional Programme of Bible Society of India (BSI), Haflong Branch
was held at Gilgal PCI Chapel on September 14, 2014 with success.
In this connection, the
morning worship service of the church was held from 10 AM onwards, conducted by
the Rev. David Chonhlu and was attended by almost all the branch office-bearers
and members. Besides, some came from other churches of Haflong and surrounding
areas, including, KVP Choir party from Fiangpui.
The Secretary of the BSI
Haflong Branch presented a report about the activities and progress of the
branch for the year 2013-14 and future programme. Besides, he also informed the
purpose of the programme that the BSI is committed to give the Bible to every
linguistic community of India in their own dialect so that every body can study
the word of God in own dialect and understand the love of God and His salvation
through Jesus Christ. He appealed to the gathering to take membership in the
BSI and participate in the endeavour for the glory of God in Jesus Christ.

Haolai BD, M.Th, Executive Secretary KCC Assam Synod and Secretary of BSI
Haflong Branch, recalled the most
influential story of a little girl May Jones, who had bought a copy of her much
sought-after the Bible only after hard struggled. For that, she had saved the little
money given daily by her parents for her Tiffin. When she saved enough for a book of the Bible, she travelled
miles on foot. She rejoiced in the Lord and praise God when she bought the
Bible at last. Thereafter, she spent her
life with a blessed joy in Christ and had contributed towards giving the Bible
to people. He also told the gathering how prophet Isaiah responded the call of
the Lord and served the Lord. All,
Christians must follow the footstep of Mary Jone and continue her effort by contributing cash and kinds towards
publication of the Bible in every languages of India and provide them this Message
of God’s Love. This is our response to the call of Lord Jesus by participating
in His ministry in BSI, he concluded.
Earlier, the choir party PYF,
Haflong PCI Choir presented melodious
song and local Church Secretary also announced the necessary programme of the
Church. The Chairman also introduced the
dignitaries and VIPs.
The next programme,
according to the Secretary’s report, will be held at PCI Chapel, Boro-Haflong .

In this connection, the
morning worship service of the church was held from 10 AM onwards, conducted by
the Executive Secretary of CHT Synod Rev.Hauthangsawn and was attended by
almost all the branch office-bearers and members. Besides, some came from other
churches of Haflong and surrounding areas, including, KVP Choir party from
Fiangpui.
The main items include,

had contributed towards giving the Bible to people. He also told the gathering

Rev. Tlana, exhorted the gathering to response the call of Lord Jesus by
participating in His ministry in BSI.
Earlier, the choir party KVP
of Fiangpui enthralled the mass gathering with their sweet song and one Mary
Paite of Muolhoi also present a sweet song.
The next programme,
according to the Secretary’s report, will be held at EFCI Chapel, Muolpong
which will be conducted by Rev. Lalhrangthang Hrangkhol and the speaker will be
Rev. Larongaha.
