HAFLONG August 8 : Altogether 80 (eighty)poor and under-privilege children were benefitted with health check up, free treatment and free medicines in a free medical check up camp held at Songpijang on August 5, 2016, organized by NGO Bridge of Hope ( A Childcare Project of Believers’ Church)in the premises of its Project Centre at Songpijang village, Haflong.
The camp was inaugurated by Pr. P.Doungel at 3pm with message and prayer. The camp was attended by child Specialist of Haflong Civil Hospital, Haflong Dr. Joyci Chongneilhing Doungel MD (Paediatric), Meical & Health Officer, who thoroughly checked up the health of all the poor and under-privilege children enrolled at in Bridge of Hope, Childcare Project.
The attending doctor diagnosed most children suffering from worm infection , stomach ailment, loose motion, headache, fever, swelling,etc. And given free treatment.
All the children were given free medicines provided by Joint Director of Medical & Health Services, Dima Hasao district, Haflong, who were from poor family and could not purchase the require medicines due to poverty.
Later, a short concluding programme was held wherein the Project Co-ordinator Shri. S.Chongloi thanked the attending doctor for rendering her valuable services; and also thanked the children and parents who attended the camp. Chongloi also extended his heartfelt thanks to the Joint Director of Medical & Health Services, Dima Hasao district, Haflong for providing free medicines and sending the attending doctor.
Lastly, S.Chongloi, on behalf of the Bridge of Hope, conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the Founder President of BCI Dr. K.P.Yohanan for arranging this kind of charity activities for the poor.
