Dist Cong Thanks CM Gogoi for Helping to Pay Employees’ Salary

      Haflong,Sept ’24: Dima Hasao District Congress Committee expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Tarun Goggoi,Chief Minister of Assam,Khorsing Ingti, Minister for HAD ,MGVK Bhanu, Principal Secretary Home & Political Affair,Pawan Borthakur Principal Secretary, Finanace Department and Mehtabuddin Ahamed Commissinner & Secretary ,Hills area Department to the Govt of Assam for releasing an amount of Rs.30 Crore as grant -in - aid to the N C Hills Autonomous Council  to resolve the pending salary issue under the normal sector of the Autonomous Council.This was stated in a press release on September 24 at Rajiv Bhawan,Haflong by District Cong leaders. 


The press release also appreciated Debojeet Thaosen, CEM,NCHAC for his effort to get the grant-in –aid so that the pending salary to the employees under normal sector  could be paid before the Durga Puja festival and also extended its gratitude to Akshay Rajkhowa ,APCC, Secretary, In-charge for taking certain steps in that direction for sanctioning the grant.
The press which was Jointly addressed by the Mahendra Kemprai, President DCC, Dima Hasao, Prakanta Warisa, EM and Deborprasad Hojai, EM , N C Hills Autonomous Council further earnestly  urged the NCHAC Employees Union to call off their on-going cease work unconditionally, so that the normal  functioning of the council can be resumed, pending salaries of the employees can be disbursed and to work out jointly for permanent solution of the salary problem under the normal Sector
Meanwhile,  the N.C. Hills Autonomous Council employees have  continued their  agitation for an indefinite cease of work from 10th September demanding revocation of  transfer order of president of the NCHAC employees union and payment of 9 (Nine) months pending salary with enhancement of DA from 35% to 100% immediately.
The union, however, decided to allow the officers for any work related to payment of pending salary or other demands of the union and to form a committee for talking with council authorities as required to solve the grievances of employees. The NCHAC employees to the normal sector appealed all the people to understand and to come forward to solve the their grievances’ while regretted for the inconveniences due to agitation
