Haflong, March’ 18: Yet in another achievement of woman from Dima Hasao district , Sheetal Lama was felicitated by the Dimasa Mother Association (DMA) and other woman organization of Haflong for her achievement.
Sheetal Lama born to a middle class family in a small town Mahur ,Dima Hasao. Daughter of Shiela Lyngdoh and studied in St. Agnes School Haflong up to class eight latter she studied in Mahur higher secondary school and completed her study there.
Sheetal lama is the only Indian female with six other female Metro Double Decker Bus operators since 2008 in London, United Kingdom, among six hundred male drivers.
She has been awarded five times for her relentless service and safe driving as best driver of the year. Owing her love for the home town She has visited Haflong, Dima Hasao several occasion and still speaks in local dialect .She has two daughter aged 19 and 13, her mother runs a private School at Mahur while, she has also started a School at Patharkuchi ,Assam.
