BSI held Special Promotional Programme at Lodi PCI

            LODI,
Haflong, August 22
((Published in Haflong News  22 August 2016): As pasrt of its monthly activity, the  Bible Society of india (BSI), Haflong
Branch
  held a Special promotinal
Programme at Lodi PCI Church, with common Worship Service
  on 21 August
at  5.30pm, which was conducted by
Elder Alan Zeme, with BSI President Rev. H.Haolai and Secretary Elder
Lalthanmoia Thianglai in the chair, and attended almost all
office bearers, collectors and leaders from
other Churches, local Church and
  PCI
Synod Choir of Haflong as well as local Choir.

                Welcoming
all, Elder Alan Zeme called to worship by reading out Bible verses, followed
by  opening prayer from senior elder of
Lodi PCI and presentation of a thrilling English Song by PCI Synod Choir.

                Placing
report of the BSI activity, the
Secretary Elder Lalthanmawia , informed the gathering that the BSI is
committed to publish the Bible in all language of India and present them so
that every individual can read the Bible in his/her own  language
and  appealed all to take
membership so that the BSI may publish more Bible in evevry language.

                Based on the
BSI  theme    ‘ The Bible Society is a Servant in God’s
Mission”, the appointed speaker Rev. David T.Lhouvum sermonized on ‘the Power
of God’s Word’. Key verses

“ For as the rain and the snow come down from
heaven,
and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making
it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so
shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;it shall not return to me
empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for
which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

Thus says the Lord Almighty God.
His word  is very powerful and is
a sure shot. Never miss the mark.

The Bible is the Written Word of God, about which is written by
the Apostle:

“ Indeed,
the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword,
piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to
judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And before him no creature is
hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must
render an account.” (Hebrew 4:12-13)

The duty
of every individual Christian is to give the Word of God to those who still
does not received. The  Bible is the
Written Word of God, which is to be given to them.

The BSI is doing this. Every Christian may be
involved by enroling as member by paying
simple  membership fee as Patron,
Life  or
Annual member.

God’s love is for all.
God’s Salvation through Jesus Christ is for all. God wants that every body get
Salvation through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.  The message of this Salvation is written in
the Bible. It is the duty of those who already received to tell those who still
do not received.

The work of God is not  done by force. The BSI does not force anybody
to do this mission work. This is done with love and reverence to God and to
others. Jesus Christ command us to ‘Love others, as He has love us’. In love,
we should present God’s message of Love to
others. For this noble work, every Christian must be ‘born-again
person’. Nominal Christian does not have this ‘Love of Christ’. One must become
‘True Christian’, be transformed in the likeness of Christ.  The Bible tells us :

“ Do not
be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds,
so that you may discern what is the will of God — what is good and acceptable
and perfect. (Romans 12:2)

                The speaker
concluded his impressive speech with a challenging call to ‘Love God, Love
Others and Serve God and Others with Christ’s Love for every humans’

The CHT Choir and Lodi PCI
Choir enthralled the audiences with melodious songs, for which every
leader who spoke on the occasion thanked them.

 Light
refreshment was served to guests and others by the local Church after worship
service.
