Weeklong special immunization drive launched at Haflong











HAFLONG, Oct 2:  The  Executive Member of N.C.Hills Autonomous
Council for Medical & Health,etc.
 
Samuel Changsan, launched Special Immunization Drive (SID), under the
chairmanship of Principal Secretary, N.C Hills Autonomous Council, at the
premises of Haflong Urban Health Centre on 29th September 2016.
 


                Starting from
that day the first round of the programme will last till October 4 next. The
main objective of the programme is to immunize children of 0-2 age group by
visiting all the households of Dima Hasao by medical field workers like ANM,
ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers. Every household in the district is to be
demarcated by red, yellow and green stickers according to their immunization
status. As per the programme the number of children within the age said age to
be immunized in the district is two thousand six hundred and one thousand one
hundred and twenty five pregnant women.




It is targeted to complete the first session of immunisation
within a period of five days for which 154 sessions is to be organised at
various corners of the district.


                At the
programme today it was conveyed that those parents who have got children
between age group of (0-2) may check their immunization status at all medical
sub-centres , primary health centres or may check with any ASHA workers of
their respective areas.


                The programme
was attended by Dr. L. Vaiphei, District Immunization Officer, Rukminin
Difoesa, DPM, Dr.Lina Hakmaosa, Sub Divisional Medical Health Officer, HQ
(SDHMO), Dr. A.K Sonowal, Addl. Chief Medical Health Officer & Staffs ,ASHA
workers and beneficiaries
