HAFLONG, June 16 : With rest of the country, Bridge of Hope (Achild care project of Believers church) Songpijang project observed World Environment Day along on 5th June 2017 at its project centre at Songpijang, near Mahadev Tilla.
The program was graced by Shri T.Singson Range Officer, Mahadev tilla range, Haflong Division as Chief Guest, who delivered a short message with regard to protection of environment. He appeal to stop destruction of these nature as it will make difficult for human existence. He also urged the children to learn the importance of planting more trees in their respective places.
He says, “we should also maintain ecological balance, which is essential for life”.
The program was followed by planting of tree of nursery seedlings along the roadsides of Mahadevtilla. The team also visited Divisional forest office and botanical nursery seedling garden at Haflong under forest department along with children and forest personals on the same day.
