SVEEP program held at Haflong

Haflong,June 13:- The systematic Voters Education and Electoral Publication(SVEEP) program was held at Govt. Boy’s Higher Secondary school, Haflong under the presidentship of Dipak Jidung,ADC and District election Officer,Dima Hasao.

The program was initiated by the Election Commission of India for making awareness through interaction with students-teacher and parents-students about the procedure regarding the inclusion, transfer and correction of voters, so that no voters to be left behind in exercising their franchise during election and their votes be counted thereof.



Dipak Jidung,ADC/Election officer, in his short speech in the program encouraged the students participating in the program to exercise their power to elect quality public leader for better development of our country and for which asked them to acquire knowledge from the participating Master trainers Samiran Chandra Nath,Zagir Khan, Suman Bhattacharjee and Sibendra Chakraborthy. He also advised the students to share their electoral knowledge with their parents at home.

The program was attended by the students of Govt Boys’ Higher Secondary School and Girls’ Higher Secondary School,Haflong and staffs of election office, Haflong.
